Yes, it’s for real, but it’s 2.85¢/min in most areas, not
2.0. In some areas it’s 3.45 or even 4.85 in some areas with smaller
local phone companies. This is definitely for real and the best deal
anywhere but please don’t call me just to ask me if the price is correct or if there’s any catch, because there really isn’t. There’s no setup fee and no monthly fee at all, and no minimum use or term commitment at all. My site is obviously geared toward 800 numbers,
but you can get the same 2¢/min rate for your outbound long distance too,
although it’s not a requirement.

A toll free number doesn't have a separate physical line. You can basically think of a toll free number more like a remote call forwarded number or an alias
number which lands on the local number you point it to. People can still
dial your local number but whenever anyone dials your tollfree number it will come in to your local number as if they had dialed the local number directly. You can't dial out on a toll free number. The basics about the Airespring/GlobalFibernet service
They can only afford to give you such an awesome rate if you have reasonable
credit (that’s why they need your SSN) and if you’re in a major local phone
company area (that’s why they need your local phone number to check
availability). If you’re with a large competitive company it’s probably
going to say 3.45¢/min or in more remote areas 4.85¢/min. But with no set up
fee, no monthly fee or minimum use at all, it’s still a really good deal!

any monthly fee because they do a really good job of online billing. There’s
also no extra charge for large accounts (over $15/month) to get a paper
bill, but there is an extra $2/month fee for smaller accounts that request a
paper bill. The billing can be done automatically each month with a credit
card or a bank debit (giving you the convenience of “One bill”) or if you
have excellent credit you can send a check each month.
The receipt page will tell you it takes 7-10 days but a toll free number is
usually active in about 5-10 days. They will notify you and communicate
mostly via email. Like most of the lower price services, you have to sign up
online and the first step is to enter your phone number to see if you
qualify. Then just fill out the online form and you’re on your way.
